You must use top-quality chocolate to prepare this simple chocolate cake recipe. Use Valrhona Equatoriale 55 percent for the finest results. I can assure you that the ultimate result will be excellent! The following ingredients are needed for this basic recipe:

  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • chocolate (dark)
  • Flour for making cakes
  • powdered sugar
  • Soda (baking)
  • Milk

The cake batter is made with the components listed above. A ganache topping made with dark chocolate, whipping cream, and butter is recommended. To make an incredibly soft and moist cake, use cake flour. Aside from that, use natural, high-quality butter, such as Challenge brand unsalted butter. Fresh whole milk also adds moisture to the cake.
