4 Easy Steps: Chili Lime Shrimp

Chili Lime Shrimp. Grilled and roasted to perfection, these luscious shrimps are marinated in a spicy lime sauce. Yummy! And it’s so simple!

Grilled shrimp skewers are absolutely my favorite summertime treats. In my opinion, seafood is the best cuisine to eat throughout the summer months.

I have a Chili Lime Chicken recipe that seems to be a hit with everyone. Many people have tried this recipe and found it to be great. And today, I will share it with you.

After making my Chili Lime Chicken into Chili Lime Shrimp, a reader wrote that her family and friends were begging for more.

As a result, I’m excited to share this mouthwatering recipe with you today!

The recipe has been slightly altered by me. Sweet chili sauce was a welcome addition to the marinade. With a savory combination of sweet chili peppers, lime juice, and garlic, the shrimp is luscious and overflowing with flavor. These shrimp skewers are the perfect summertime appetizer!

Each serving of this recipe has only 207 calories.

The best part about this chili lime corn dish is that it can be made any time of year. Cook in the oven or using a grill pan indoors.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 400 g of peeled and deveined shrimp with tail on

MARINADE:

  • 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of finely chopped cilantro/parsley leaves
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tablespoon of honey
  • ¼ cup of fresh lime juice

HOW TO COOK CHILI LIME SHRIMP

  1. Coldwater should be used to soak the bamboo skewers. Pat the shrimp dry after rinsing in cold water using paper towels. Set aside for later.
  2. Place the ingredients needed for the marinade in a large bowl and mix them.
  3. Carefully coat the shrimp evenly in the marinade before serving. Allow it to marinate for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat up a grill to medium-high and cook the shrimp until they are pink and slightly charred all over. Serve right away.

NOTE:

Alternatively, you can bake the shrimp in the oven at 400F for 10 minutes. To brown the shrimp on the outside, place them under the broiler for one minute after being baked.
